1.3 This statement is made by Koi Footwear Limited ("Koi Footwear" or the "Company") in accordance with the requirements of section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the "Act"). It covers the financial year 20252026, ending on 31 August 2026.
1.4 This statement sets out the steps we have taken to identify, prevent, and mitigate the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains.
2. About Koi Footwear
2.3 Koi Footwear is a UK-based footwear brand committed to delivering trendled, affordable, and ethical shoes and accessories. We are proud to be 100% cruelty-free, and our mission extends beyond product design to include sustainability, inclusivity, and social responsibility.
2.4 As a business with global suppliers, we acknowledge the potential risks of modern slavery across different geographies and sectors. We are committed to ensuring that our products are made in safe, fair, and transparent working conditions.
3. Risks of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery
3.3 We recognise that the greatest risks of modern slavery in our business are likely to occur within our supply chains, particularly in regions where manufacturing is more vulnerable to poor labour practices.
3.4 We take a proactive approach to identify and address these risks through supplier due diligence, audits, and ongoing monitoring.
4. Our Supply Chain
4.3 Koi Footwear operates with a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, and forced labour.
4.4 Our suppliers are required to undergo thorough due diligence before engagement, which includes:
4.4.1 Supplier questionnaires to assess compliance with ethical standards and certifications.
4.4.2 Factory visits and inspections by senior Koi representatives.
4.4.3 Independent third-party audits where appropriate. 4.4.4 Formal agreement to our Supplier Code of Conduct, which prohibits all forms of forced labour and human trafficking.
4.5 We continue to monitor supplier compliance by:
4.5.1 Conducting regular reviews and audits.
4.5.2 Evaluating customer and employee feedback. 4.5.3 Exercising contractual rights to request independent audits.
4.6 Our suppliers range from manufacturers of footwear and accessories to providers of business support services such as IT, logistics, cleaning, and professional advisory. We assess the risk profile of each supplier and apply additional due diligence where necessary.

6.1 Measuring Effectiveness To monitor and improve the effectiveness of our approach, we track the following non-financial key performance indicators:
6.1.1 Supplier engagement with our ethical sourcing policies.
6.1.2 Ongoing supply chain risk assessments and reviews.
6.1.3 Number of audits conducted and corrective actions implemented.
7 Our Commitment
7.1 Over the next 12 months, we aim to strengthen our modern slavery framework by:
7.1.1 Delivering modern slavery awareness training to all relevant Koi Footwear staff.
7.1.2 Further embedding ethical sourcing requirements into supplier contracts.
7.1.3 Expanding the scope of our supply chain audits.
