How will I receive my refund?

Refunds go back to whatever you paid with. Card payments return to the same card; PayPal and other services are credited to that account.

It's always the original payment method used at purchase, for security and a clean record.

How long will my refund take?

Once your return reaches our warehouse, please allow 7 working days for our teams to process your return.

Shipping fees, duties and tariffs aren't refundable, as those are paid to third parties.

Returning a Clearpay / Klarna purchase?

If you paid with Clearpay or Klarna and you're waiting on a refund, you can pause or delay your payments with them until the refund's actioned.

For anything specific to your plan, contact Clearpay or Klarna directly.

My item arrived faulty

Faulty or defective items are covered by our 6-month warranty and eligible for replacement within 6 months of delivery. This doesn't cover normal wear and tear.

Can I cancel or edit my order?

Once an order's placed, our team starts processing it straight away, so we can't make changes to it.

If you need to, place a new order, or return any unwanted items once they arrive.

Why wasn't my parcel delivered?

First, check any safe places and with your neighbours. Parcels are sometimes left in a porch, shed, or with a neighbour. If the carrier still couldn't deliver (no one available, or access issues), it's usually returned to us, and once it's back at our warehouse we'll issue a refund.

Refund timing is the same as above.

I forgot to add my discount code

We can't add a discount code after an order's placed, but you can use it on your next purchase if it's still valid.

Collabs and products already on promotion aren't eligible for discounts.

Is KOI vegan?

Not entirely. A big part of the range is made with vegan-friendly materials, but some styles use genuine leather, and we won't pretend otherwise. Every product page lists exactly what's on your feet, so if vegan matters to you, check the listing before you add to bag.

Is KOI ethical and sustainable?

We design in Manchester and manufacture in China through long-standing partners who are held to ethical, responsible production standards: fair working practices and responsible sourcing. We're honest that there's further to go, and we're continually reviewing our materials and processes to lower our impact. No vague buzzwords, just where we actually are.

Is KOI fast fashion?

No. Fast fashion chases trends and builds things to be thrown away. We make collectable, identity-driven pieces designed to be worn and kept, built to last and backed by a six-month warranty. We're independent, and our designs come from subculture and self-expression, not a trend forecast.

What does KOI sell?

Alternative footwear, built loud. Our world runs on chunky platform boots, Mary Janes, chunky trainers and platform heels, plus a growing line of apparel. Bold and expressive, but made to actually wear, not just photograph.

Does KOI make men's shoes?

We design unisex. Most of our styles, boots and trainers especially, are worn across all genders, and our sizing stretches to suit. KOI is for anyone who connects with the look; gender doesn't come into it.

Does KOI sell kids' footwear?

Not right now. We focus on adult footwear and don't have a dedicated kids' range. Our smallest adult sizes may suit older teens, so check the size guide if you're close.

What are KOI's most popular styles?

Our chunky platform boots and Mary Janes are the heart of it, the styles people come to KOI for. The collab drops pull serious demand too: KOI x Monster High, KOI x Hatsune Miku, KOI x Melanie Martinez. Limited editions tend to sell out quickly.

Sizing & Fit

Do KOI shoes fit true to size, or should I size up?

Generally true to size, but it depends what you're putting on. Trainers and Mary Janes fit true from the off. Chunky boots run a touch snug at first thanks to thicker linings, then break in. If you're between sizes or have wider feet, size up, especially for boots. Worth a glance at the size guide for your style before you commit.

How do KOI boots fit compared to trainers and Mary Janes?

Three different feels. Chunky boots are structured with thicker linings: snug at first, then they soften to your foot. Trainers are relaxed and flexible from day one. Mary Janes hold you in place with a secure strap. All true to size, but check the guide for the pair you want.

Does KOI offer wide fit options?

No dedicated wide-fit range yet, but some styles have more room than others. Chunky boots and trainers with rounded toe boxes are the most forgiving. Wider feet? Size up, and check the product-page reviews for real fit notes from people in the same boat.

How do I choose the right size?

Start with the size guide. It's got UK and EU measurements for every style. Measure your foot length (do it in the evening, feet swell through the day) and match it up. Between sizes? Size up. Depends on the style. Across the range you'll find vegan leather alternatives, genuine leather, synthetic textiles and rubber soles, each chosen for how it wears, feels and looks. We're not an exclusively vegan brand, so the exact make-up is listed on every product page. Check there if materials matter to you.

When does KOI have sales and Black Friday deals?

Throughout the year, with the big ones landing around Black Friday and end-of-season. Yes, we do Black Friday, and yes, it's worth waiting for. Everything's announced on site, email and socials, but the list always gets the early word.

How long does KOI take to deliver?

UK standard delivery is usually 3–5 working days, with express and next-day options if you're impatient (we get it). International times vary by country and show at checkout. During sales and new drops things can run a little slower: high demand, same care. Full timings on our Shipping & Returns page.

Where does KOI ship from?

Everything ships from the UK: designed in Manchester, sent from our UK distribution centre, with tracking on every order wherever it's headed.

Does KOI ship internationally?

Yes, across Europe, North America, Australia and well beyond. If we deliver to your country it'll show as an option at checkout, with the cost calculated for your address and tracking as standard. See the full destination list on our Shipping & Returns page.

How much does delivery cost, and is there free shipping?

UK delivery comes in a few tiers (standard, express, next-day) at different prices, and international is calculated at checkout for your address. We run free shipping now and then, usually over a minimum spend or during a sale, and the list and socials get the heads-up first. Current rates are always on our Shipping & Returns page.

Will I pay customs or import fees?

No extra duties on UK orders. For international, some countries charge their own customs duties, import taxes or handling fees, set by your local customs authority, not us, and they're the customer's responsibility. We can't predict the amount, so if you're outside the UK it's worth a quick check with your customs office before ordering.

My tracking says delivered, but I don't have it

We know how frustrating that is. Before getting in touch:

  1. Check safe spots & neighbours. Parcels are often left in porches, sheds, bins, or with neighbours.
  2. Allow a little time. Royal Mail can take up to 7 working days after a delivery scan, FedEx up to 3 working days, and Asendia (international) up to 10 days as it transfers through local handlers.
  3. Still missing? Once you've waited and checked around, get in touch and we'll help resolve it.
An item is missing or my order is incomplete

We're sorry if something's missing. Occasionally an inventory error means a product wasn't available when your order was picked. Email us at help@koifootwear.com with your order number and we'll put it right. (Delivery times shown are courier estimates and can shift slightly either way.)

I've entered the wrong delivery address

Contact us as soon as you can. If you've already had a dispatch confirmation, your order may have left us, in which case we may not be able to change it. If an order is sent to a wrong address you entered and is lost, a replacement would need to be placed at your expense, so double-check your details at checkout.

What is KOI's return policy?

You've got 28 days from delivery to send something back, as long as it's unworn, in its original condition and packaging with tags on. A £2.99 fee applies to UK returns (taken off your refund), and original shipping isn't refundable. Sale and promo items can have different conditions. Full detail's on our Shipping & Returns page.

How do I return KOI shoes?

Start it online through our Shipping & Returns page, then pick UK or International. Pack the item back up in its original condition with tags on, send it via the method we give you, and hang onto your proof of postage until your refund lands.

How long do I have to return an item?

28 days from the day your order's delivered. Same window for everything, unless a sale or promo says otherwise.

Does KOI offer free returns?

Not free, but fair. UK returns are £2.99, taken straight off your refund. International return costs vary by location. Worth reading the returns policy (and the size guide) before you order, so there are no surprises.
